Support YEK
Youth Entrepreneurs® Kansas needs YOU!
Youth
Entrepreneurs® Kansas is solely funded by the generous donations of
individuals, foundations and corporations. YEK is a 501(c)(3)
organization, and receives no United Way or government funding. Your support is vital to providing students with business and entrepreneurial education and experiences to help them prosper and become contributing members of society.
And we know they need it. While 70% of high school youth express interest in owning their own business, most lack the knowledge or resources to get started. Have you also noticed how more and more individuals are relying on government assistance, and employers are finding it increasingly difficult to identify skilled, entrepreneurial-thinking employees?
Research shows that YEK works. Students who complete the year-long YEK program show real differences in their personal, academic and professional lives.

Our alumni are:
- More likely to attend higher education
- Less likely to be on welfare
- Show greater business skills and knowledge
- More likely to start a business in the future

Donating will help to:
- Offer hands-on learning through the YEK program to more students
- Grant college scholarships and venture capital awards
- Provide in-class mentoring and exposure to successful business speakers
- Build business partnerships and networking skills
- Improve the professional development of our teachers
Your donation goes to your community. One hundred percent of your tax-deductible contribution goes directly to YEK
students and instructors.
No matter how much you give, donating will improve the lives of young people in your community. Your donation will help them develop the passion and skills to succeed in the marketplace and life.
Other forms of support. YEK has one fundraiser each year: The Biz Bang is
held on even-numbered years, and the Business Breakfast Series is held on odd years. For information about sponsoring one of
these events, or to learn about other ways you can invest in the future
of our young people through YEK, contact Phoebe Bachura, Development
Director, at phoebe@yeks.org or 316.828.3913.
