Join us for the second annual YEK Business for Breakfast in Topeka on Thursday, October 14, 2010. YEK brings outstanding entrepreneurs to share their story of success with community leaders and YEK students. The proceeds from this breakfast benefit YEK students.

What to expect: breakfast, a few words about YEK, 40 minute fireside chat with speaker and moderator, Q & A from the audience.

Speaker:
Danny O’Neill is the “Bean Baron” of The Roasterie, Inc., a specialty coffee roasting company which services espresso bars and coffee houses, fine restaurants, high-end grocers, offices and retail accounts. Mr. O’Neill started The Roasterie in the basement of his Kansas City home in November 1993. Since then, The Roasterie has become one of the most renowned specialty coffee roasters in the nation.

Moderator:
Martha Bartlett Piland, President + CEO at MB Piland Fat Free Advertising, will be our moderator for the morning. Martha knows what it takes to be successful. As owner of MB Piland Fat Free Advertising, an advertising and marketing agency in Topeka, she uses her entrepreneurial skills to advance her business and help other businesses grow. Martha believes YEK offers students the opportunity to learn how to succeed in business.
